We’ve done it before and we’re doing it again. During this year’s WWDC Keynote given by Steve Jobs, we’ll be hosting a chat to keep everyone up-to-date with the new releases. Yeah, we’re that geeky.

As some of you no doubt noticed, our site was down for a little while this afternoon. It seems that a very big problem happened, one that was completely uncontrollable, and has now been resolved. If you’d like to see any details, I wrote a note about it on my blog.
We are more than happy with the way Media Temple responded to the situation, and we highly recommend using their services. It is nice to know, that even when faced with extremely difficult circumstances, they still care enough about 9rules, its members, and the entire community around it – to give us a call on the phone to let us know what was happening.
Thanks for your patience. We have another scheduled maintenance to be happening this weekend, so watch for falling debris during that.
I’m not sure what it is, but I love buying tshirts. I have quite a few from places like Threadless and even a few gems from Walmart of all places.
That is what makes this news exciting for me. Bryan Veloso, of Avalonstar fame, has finally got some Avalonstar tshirts. As he’ll explain in the linked post, he held a contest back in September of last year to design these shirts, so they’ve been in the making for quite some time.
Bryan gives his own reasons for wanting to pick up an Avalonstar Tee. But I can give you the reasons why I’m going to buy one. I like Avalonstar.com, I like the design, and I like knowing that I have a tshirt that only a limited number of other people have.
So, go pick up one in your size. Heck, pick up one for everyone you know and their mother, and their brother’s cousin’s cab-driver’s friend. In other words, get ’em while their hott!
A while back we held an internal contest to create an official 9rules wallpaper. We had an amazing array of choices to choose from, all were extremely well done, but one stood out from the crowd.

Right now, this wallpaper is available for 20-inch screens, at a resolution of 1680×1050. If you’d like to resize this, go for it, if you’d like to create a ton of different sizes for all the resolutions – please link to them in our comments. Enjoy, and congrats Chris.
Some of us on the 9rules team (Paul, Mike, and I) are childless. Tyme is blessed with two lovely kids named Lenora and Damon. Well, Paul has a few out there somewhere too, but – nevermind.
Steve Smith of OrderedList, and his wife have recently welcomed a new edition into their family. Jackson Steven Smith was born on May 28th 2006.
We here at 9rules, and the entire Network of members, would like to congratulate the Smith family and can’t wait until baby Jackson makes it home. Don’t waste too much time staring at this kid, though I know it is addicting.
