Quick update

I might not be processing the new members for the next couple of days. Ike did a job on my city and I’m at a library sending this. They are estimating a couple days until power is restored. No clue when it will be restored.
I am keeping track of those I processed and those left to be processed so please do not send another email. Once I am done processing people I will contact those left to be processed.
When will I be opening it up so that those that were not accepted can find out why? When I have processed the new people. I do not have an ETA at this time.
Just a quick update. Gotta take everything out of my refrigerator/freezers. If you have power…hug your computers for me. You’re lucky….appreciate it. 
I’ll post an update when things are back to normal.

Sorry to hear that you’re out of power. That’s pretty inconvenient and not much fun as I recall from only being without it for only a day or so. Hope things get back to being relatively normal soon for you. Thanks for the update.

Thank you! The power was restore a little while ago – right when I was trying to find a library to hop online lol.
I’m sorting through email and I getting organized. I’ll finish everyone up tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!

Sorry to hear about Ike. I have been getting notes from friends with the same problems, not that should make you feel better. Hope the grid get up and working soon again.

Hi there,
You had mentioned providing feedback for sites that weren’t accepted in the last round. Will you be doing this? I’m anxiously awaiting it!

@Tracy – I’m still working on getting members in from last round and fixing weird feed issues. I’m on my way out the door but I wanted to respond. Instead of email which would most likely float into Round 8 maybe I can do a one day thing where I’m on AIM (to keep it private) and give feedback on sites for a couple of hours?

Let’s shoot for Monday (November 3rd). I’ll announce it on the blog on Monday. I’m not exactly sure the time my flight gets back (what they say and what actually happens are two different things) but I’d say something like from 2-5pm EST?

Oh poo. I work until 4:30 or 5 then have class until 9 on Mondays. Won’t work for me.
Is email all that more time consuming than IM? Sure, it’d be great to have a conversation but since we are so close to the submission date your feedback alone would be greatly appreciated.
Also wondering…cause I don’t IM that much so don’t know these things…is AIM compatible with something like Pidgin, which is what is installed on my computer?
BTW – I have updated my blog design since the last round of submissions. I did it based on outside feedback as well as personal feedback.

I’m on my way out the door to catch a flight but I came up with an idea. If you guys don’t mind it being public I can set up a Meebo chat. All you’d need is a browser and you’d possibly get feedback from others. Regarding time, I just came up with one. If you have suggestions for other times feel free to suggest them and we can take it from there.
Email is much slower because of the time it takes for someone to respond. Usually there are questions based on what I said.
And yes, I use Pidgin and AIM (and the other services) are compatible with it.
Gotta go…I’ll check in from time to time while I’m gone. Have a good weekend and a great Halloween!

I don’t mind it public at all. Never used meebo – but I’m sure I can figure it out. Tuesday, after 5 is best for me. Cuts it short for next day submission, but if you prefer it to be live, I guess that is the only time left!

I’m flexible with time and with it being public. It’s my busy season right now, so I probably won’t resubmit this round.
