Streamcast: Wednesday 9pm Eastern

Written by Scrivs on August 11, 2008

This Wednesday the crew will get together and go over some of the submissions live so you can get a feel for what we look for in submissions to 9rules. It will go on for at least an hour so there will be plenty of quality information flowing throughout. Make sure to be there.

Actually, I am still new here. How this thing works? The ScreenCast. I had submitted my site, what I need to do actually?

  9. Tyme White Says:

@kailoon - you do not have to “do” anything else (besides keep an eye out on the blog). We will announce the new members on the blog.

The Streamcast is when people can watch our reactions as we go through some of the sites. We do not publicly name the blogs we are looking at but we do say if a blog is accepted or not and you’ll hear why the blog was not accepted (and see our reactions browsing through the blogs).

  10. max Says:

  27. Terry Says:

Why wouldn’t you guys just publish sensible criteria and respond appropriately to publishers applying to your network? There are dozens of great networks out there, none of them behave like this.

I have to say your streamcast is a bit of a wank. Does it make you feel special that you have bloggers waiting on your critique of them?

    Very sad…

  28. Tyme White Says:

@Terry - You mean like the tips published here: http://blog.9rules.com/category/site-tips/

Or do you mean that instead of embracing a blog’s individuality we should make a cookie-cutter template all blogs should fall into?

Or do you mean I shouldn’t take the time to interact with those that submitted to discuss their site, giving them feedback that for most they never had before?

You want to know what makes me feel special? When a blogger or site owner sees their blog a different way and improves it to THEIR tastes. Helping people find new ways to interact with others. I particularly feel special and blessed that so many people value my opinion - it is a very humbling feeling and I am very appreciative of that.

But I think that what makes me feel most special today is that I spend time helping others instead-of-doing-what-you-did. Yeah - that makes me feel most special today.

  29. Tracy Rosen Says:

    Right on, Tyme.
