I am humbled and also want to congratulate all the selectees from Round 5 so far. I just got home from a meeting and started catching up on my feeds I read.

Mike & Chanpory: You guys just raised my hope quotient. (Luckily it only ever goes down by halves, so technically I can never be hopeless.) I was under the impression that there was only one day left.
/I’m STILL crossing my fingers. Makes it a bit hard to type, though.

Gnorb, glad you’re still hopeful. I know it’s hard. I tried emailing Tyme to see if I’ve been rejected already. No response yet, but i’m sure the 9rules folks are inundated with emails right now. It’s kind of exhilirating to wait and see everyday though.

Although the great majority of the websites chosen so far are great in my opinion, I’m noticing a lack of scientific directed sites.
I know that the majority of people like to read about the latest games, politics, news, and such, but educational and scientific blogs need their spotlight.
I’m not just saying this because my blog’s focus is Biotech but mostly because I’d like to be exposed to more scientific oriented blogs and opinions
Anyhow, congrats on all those already chosen. How many more are going to get in? I’ll keep my hopes up… but considering the “competition” it’s looking tough!

Wow. I’m happy but above all thankful. This was my second submission into the network, and after my first rejection, I spent over a year making sure my content and site were up to par for acceptance. It seems that my work has paid off.
Thanks guys, and I’m glad to be a member. Expect me to continue to try to push the limits of what I can do with hyalineskies. (Oh, and could you please fix the site title typo in the post Tyme?

Well I’ll be! I feel like a right old git now because I had all but given up feeling my blog might have been considered a little too out there. But I woke up to a nice surprise today so a big, heartfelt thank you to the 9Rules folk.

Yeah, I am. Cleaned out my inbox for the most part. Some weirdness with some member’s feeds. About to start on the emails in about 20 minutes.

BTW, what problems have you had with Gmail? Besides the VERY occasional legit message being flagged as spam, I’ve never had any probs with it.

All the emails have been sent – even todays.
I had connectivity issues and slow emails with Gmail but I’ve been told by everyone that this has been resolved so I’m testing it. All the emails were sent by Gmail – much quicker I tell ya.

I’ve had issues with the service being down for 5-10 minutes in the past here and there, but it’s been fine for what seems like forever. When did you last use it (besides just now to send out the acceptance emails
