9rules wallpaper

Written by Colin Devroe on June 8, 2006

A while back we held an internal contest to create an official 9rules wallpaper. We had an amazing array of choices to choose from, all were extremely well done, but one stood out from the crowd.

Chris Tingom, of Brain Fuel, put together “snowflake”.

Right now, this wallpaper is available for 20-inch screens, at a resolution of 1680×1050. If you’d like to resize this, go for it, if you’d like to create a ton of different sizes for all the resolutions - please link to them in our comments. Enjoy, and congrats Chris.

  1. Napfisk Says:

Nice! I’ve no widescreen, but it’ll do. I should pop over to BrainFuel again as well. Thank you both.

  2. Rida Al Barazi Says:

Maybe we should ask Chris to make another version for non-wide screens.

  3. AJ Says:

    Sweet, looks really good

I’d imagine it’d be pretty tough to squeeze in 115 new favicons without it becoming cramped

  4. Christian Watson Says:

Very cool indeed! But yes, what to do about our new compatriots? I guess it will be up to someone to create the 2006 version?

  5. Montoya Says:

What were the other entries? I would be interested in seeing them.

  6. Nick Barrett Says:

Wow, cool stuff. And yes, could we see other entries, judging by the quality of this one the others must be really good too.

  7. Koray Says:

Heh, when this was made it was christmas, which explains the snowflake.

I would post the others but it’s really not up to me. There are some great wallpapers though.

  8. Colin Devroe Says:

Sorry, I went away for the weekend. I’ll get them up tomorrow.

  9. Paul Stamatiou Says:

I hope no one posts mine, it was terrible.

  10. Bryan Says:

Unfortunately, mine isn’t on that wallpaper :(

    Here is my favicon

  11. lisa Says:

Am I the only one who wishes it was clickable? It would be genious if you could click on a favicon and have it open up a new tab in firefox. Nevermind that I have no idea if it’s even possible :)
