9rules And Members Up For SXSW Awards
Written by Mike Rundle on February 4, 2006
The finalists have just been announced, and I’m extremely proud and honored to announce that 9rules, and two of our members, are up for Web Awards at South By Southwest 2006 in a little over a month.
9rules (ugly homepage and all!) is up for Best Community/Wiki, which is described as this:
“Sites that have quickly developed an extraordinarily active multi-user community and an exceptional following of users who assist with content development.”
We’re up against a few biggies, namely 43 Things, Popist, Songwriter101, and The Urban Pioneer Project. Last year, Business Logs was up for an award but didn’t win, so hopefully two times is a charm.
Bryan Veloso of Avalonstar and Facebook fame is up for Best Blog for Avalonstar, and The Weekly Standards is nominated for Best CSS.
Here’s to Austin! *cling*

Brian, what am I to do? Avalonstar is up against Eye Level (eyelevel.si.edu), our blog from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
