Newsdesigner

Written by Scrivs on December 8, 2005

I know a thing or two about web design…okay not really, but it always fun to pretend. I definitely don’t know a thing concerning newspaper design, but after introducing Newsdesigner I don’t have to because Mark knows it all for me. I won’t hesitate to call him the authority on Newspaper design and to say we have the best Newspaper design blog in the Network now wouldn’t be an overstatement.

NewsDesigner.com is, simply put, a site about news and trends in newspaper design and visual journalism. But I also like to think it’s about how readers interact with newspapers and how newspapers can better communicate and serve readers. And I try to do that without sounding nearly as self-important as that last sentence.

Welcome Mark.

I absolutely love this site ….. and I have no freaking clue where they get all the great pictures of the newspapers. My secret guess is that they fly all around the world, but I’m sure it’s not as cool as that ;)

  2. Mark Friesen Says:

I wish it were that cool! The secret, though, is the internets. Lotsa papers post front-page PDFs or jpgs. And there’s a great site, the Newseum, that posts hundreds of front pages every day. Also I’ve got pals all over that are kind enough to send me stuff.

    Thanks for inviting me!
