9rules Round 3

Written by Scrivs on November 14, 2005

The time is now to get your site into Round 3 of English sites for the 9rules Network. Things are sure to get a bit crazy today and I enjoy these submission rounds because I am introduced to a ton of new sites and it seems with every new round (1& 2 and Spanish round) the quality of the submissions just gets better and better. What will Round 3 have in store for us? We will be sure to keep you updated.

  1. John Says:

Whew! My submission is in, and I now scoot to the edge of my big, comfy chair and wait.

    Good luck, everyone!

  2. pinayhekmi Says:

Whew! Mine’s submitted as well. Good luck to everyone.

    9rules Network: Round 3

Well, 9rules Network: Round 3 is here, and I’ve decided to enter.
In the past, as I found new sites that I enjoyed, I often noticed that they sported the little 9Rules logo somewhere on each page. They were always of great quality and well wor…

  5. Justin Ruckman Says:

Looking forward to seeing some new sites — best to all.

  6. C Montoya Says:

A whole month of waiting. :(

  7. Marco Says:

    Submitted!

    *keeps fingers crossed*

    :)

  8. karmatosed Says:

Fingers, arms, legs and any other thing I got available crossed – going to be hard to work all the crossing I am doing for the next few weeks. :)

  9. Rowan Lewis Says:

I’m in! Or I think I am, because it didn’t confirm that it had accepted my details…

  10. karmatosed Says:

I had same thing and hope I am in – anyway of confirming if you are in? Just don’t want to miss the boat…….

  11. Marco Says:

Well the form should show a red box telling you your submission was received and offering an option to submit another one. An ajax thingy.

If you didn’t see that I guess something might be wrong.

  12. Nick Says:

Wow! Got up early to submit my site, now it is submitted. Now I will wait to see if I made it… Good luck everyone!

  13. Cas Says:

Why do I have the feeling I have just made a total fool of myself?

Ah well, too late to take it back now, and my Pa always did say “nothing ventured, nothing gained”.

That’s me submitted and firmly not hitting ‘get mail’ every five minutes.

*joins in the general waiting and finger crossing*

    Luck all :)

  14. La Bella Says:

Cas, you’re not the only one feeling that way. LOL Ah well… at least we gave it a shot eh?
Good Luck to all the ones who have submitted!

  15. Melissa Says:

goodluck to those who joined! :-)

  16. Richard Says:

Hopefully I’ll at least get a rejection letter. :)

  17. Shane Shepherd Says:

Yay! Round 3 is here! 9rules is such a great community; I’m looking forward to being a part of it…hopefully. Good luck everyone who is submitting their site!

@Marco – I saw the box like you described with the notice saying my submission was received, but the information I just submitted was still sitting in the textboxes just beneath the notice. This was not what I was expecting and was confusing to me at first.

    Cas

@Cas – November 30 will be here before you know it!

  19. Kevin Says:

Should be interesting to see which websites get picked. Would be nice to see the list of sites that were submitted. Give a bit of temporary publicity for those who didnt make it to the network.

  20. Martin Ralya Says:

Kevin: I was just thinking the same thing, although I came at it from a slightly different angle. Along with the bit of publicity that might come from being on the Not Accepted list, it would be interesting to see why those sites weren’t accepted.

It might be hard to do without ruffling any feathers, but I at least would get a lot out of knowing a) why my own blog wasn’t accepted (although I hope that’s not the case! ;) ), and b) what my blog has in common with the others that didn’t make the cut.

  22. Ward Andrews Says:

Just submitted. Looking forward to seeing all the new blogs on the network. Good luck to all.

  23. Neuville Says:

Hey, I’m seeing a different submission page just now… Have you changed it or I just went to a wrong submission form?

    BTW, good luck to all!

  24. eston Says:

Oh God. I’m nervous already. Good luck everybody. (Shh. Maybe we’ll all get in.)

  25. Neuville Says:

    Fixed… I think that was just a cache prob. Phew… :-)

  26. Sherwin Techico Says:

    Good luck everyone =)

  27. Kyle Posey Says:

Doesn’t this feel like high school, when you would wait outside after school to see if you made the cheerleading squad? You just knew that if you made it, you would finally be one of the cool girls.

    oh yeah, me neither…

  28. Rowan Lewis Says:

I’m still not sure if my submission worked, there was no red AJAX ‘thingy’, but I didn’t get anything saying that it had failed either… :/

  29. Jesse J. Anderson Says:

Well, here’s hoping… I actually submitted 2 of my blogs. What the heck, can’t hurt to try. =)

  30. Jennine Says:

I’m running out of things to do to take my mind off the waiting. I’ve even been doing extra work just to keep myself occupied.

  31. Wagner Says:

When will be a portuguese round?! I’m from Brazil and would like participate this network but my site is in brazilian portuguese.

    :/

  32. DollarHacker Says:

    9rules Blog index

Testing out this 9rules blog index. I’ll update later to let you know what I have learned.

  33. Nick Says:

Submission in. Just under the bell.

A blog about virtuosity, opera, and avant-garde music, written by a fag? I’m an such an embarrassment to the blögôsphère!

  34. Joshua Lane Says:

Best of luck to all that submitted! I did as well and (like everyone else) hope to be among the chosen.

  35. Jesse J. Anderson Says:

It’ll be interesting to see what new kinds of sites are added in this round, and how many! =)

    Good luck everyone.

  36. Anon Says:

I even have my eyes crossed. Even though I submitted,it didn’t feel like it – it really felt rather anti-climatic. tick-tock-tick-tock – sure I can wait.

  37. Clark Says:

A 1 day submission window? A bit short don’t you think?

  38. nader Says:

    yes, pretty short.
i checked the submission page regularly the last days and never saw something else than “that submitted their sites for the third round” – why past tense? was there ever a present tense? :-)

  39. PJ Hyett Says:

I’m new to this process and am curious if we will receive an email letting us know whether or not we made it in? Or if that isn’t possible, just assume that after a week, two weeks, a month, that we weren’t accepted?

I’d like to make a few upgrades to the site that might take it down for a day or two and would hate to do that while someone from the network is checking it out.

    Thanks,
    PJ

  40. Scrivs Says:

PJ: Unfortunately we don’t have the resources to email everyone to inform them if they got in or not (working on something for next round though), but it’s safe to assume that after Nov.30 if you have yet to hear anything then you were not accepted.

  41. Kelley Ritchey Says:

I wouldn’t worry about whether you receive an e-mail. If 9rules wants you, they’ll let you know. I suspect they might even send you a second e-mail if they didn’t hear from you the first time.

As for publishing the rejected sites, that sounds rather funny. Of course, the rejected sites will be able to look at the accepted sites and perhaps get some insight.

    Good luck all.

  42. Robyn Tippins Says:

Gosh, I’m really bummed I missed this again. I just missed round 2 and now it looks like I’ve missed round 3 as well.

Maybe my being a part of this network is just not meant to be? Oh well… :(

  43. Barun Says:

I missed the window for submitting my site :( Anybody know when the next submission date will be?

  44. Dushyant Patel Says:

I missed the window for submitting my site Anybody know when the next submission date will be?

  45. Dustin Diaz Says:

    Great…the 30th. I can’t wait to join the Fight Club…’er, I mean the 9Rules Network ;)
