Calacanis Fires 700 Employees

Okay not really, but I thought it would be a funny title for this entry. Today AOL cut 700 jobs from its Internet division only a week after spending more than $20 million to purchase WIN. Does this seem messed up to anybody else out there?
Could you imagine working and watching your company buy up these little companies and then read the news about Google and Microsoft wanting a piece only to find out you don’t work there anymore?

One thing you must realize is that many of those jobs being cut are connected with their dial-up service unit and call centers, which has been a major downfall of AOL lately.
Now if you own thier stock, then you’d be happy about it.
