9rules Design Taught At Michigan State University
Written by Mike Rundle on October 2, 2005
I spend at least 30-40 minutes a day going through all the 9rules referrer logs, Technorati links, Google hits, etc., and the other day I came across something that really knocked me back into my seat.
An upper-level web design class at Michigan State University has the design of 9rules on its curriculum, and one of the assignments was for students to write on the class weblog what they thought of our layout, colors, typography, etc. Since 9rules.com v2.0 is just around the corner, it was fantastic (and a bit refreshing!) to read what real users think.
After chatting with the professor a bit, he invited me to be a guest author on the blog and answer some student questions. I started it off with a quick bio, so let’s see how many people laugh at the fact I was still in college about 8 months ago

I’m laughing at the fact that your college actually gave you a degree.

It’d be even cooler if it was OHIO State. Your site is incredible…but then you know that.

That’s pretty cool! I emailed the professor to offer him my help too. Used to be a TA for a web class in grad school. Good times.
