Marketing the mundane

Written by Colin Devroe on August 30, 2005

James Archer of Strange Brand wrote about Marketing the mundane back in April. Yes, back in April, but these tips still are very valuable.

If you are developing a product or service, you might think that what your working on is the most exciting thing you’ve ever seen. That does not mean that the public will. Marketing something that does not immediately create a buzz just by mentioning the name can be difficult – following Archer’s advice and looking at a few examples can really help you to give your product or service a good public face.

Well said! I’m doing some research right now, on establishing a blog on my business site. Without even trying to, PCH has marketed itself and has a worthy following. I think I’d be a fool to pass over the same opportunity on my biz blog. Great advice here, and I’ll be sure to pass it along!
