Blog Herald’s Blog Network List

Written by Scrivs on June 20, 2005

The Blog Herald has compiled a list of blog networks so you can see just how many have popped up this year (although we consider ourselves a content network due to some non-blog sites). I myself was surprised to see so many networks out there and even more surprised that none of them have really made an effort to standout. Makes you wonder how many will be around this time next year.

In any case here is what the Blog Herald had to say about the 9rules Network:

collaborative network which I still think wins the award for nicest looking blogs

Works for us. Thanks for the kind words guys.

  1. Darice de Cuba Says:

Besides Weblogs Inc and Gawker I have never heard of the rest. Although the spanish one; Weblogs SL is doing well considering their traffic stats. But besides the spanish, german and italian networks which are a total other category I think 9rules is the best. Gawkers aim is different and while Weblog Inc is no.1 I would say not for long ;)

  2. Dave Says:

Hmm well thats an odd bunch. Almost all i have never heard of. Obviously need to put more work into there advertisment.

  3. Colin Devroe Says:

    What’s Weblogs Inc? ;)

  4. Shai Coggins Says:

I think we’re all in the same boat: making our efforts to “stand out” in the ever-growing blogosphere. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of work and time to get there… I suppose with AboutWeblogs.com being officially less than 2 months old, I’d like to think that we’re not doing too bad. :-)

And, yes you deserve the praise for being a great looking network. Now if I only I can get someone to help me redesign the network… ;-)

  5. Scrivs Says:

    Hey Shai,

We might be able to help each other out…

  6. Shai Coggins Says:

Scrivs: I’d love to know what you’ve got in mind. With “the big guys” getting a lot of backing and media hype, I think other “smaller” blog networks do have the potential to get stronger and bigger if we help each other out in some way.

  7. Scrivs Says:

Shai: I will shoot you an email today with my idea.

  8. Shai Coggins Says:

    Thanks. Looking forward to it…

  9. Mike Says:

http://www.americanblog.org has just released a complete blog network consiting of 50 individual state blogs with up to 10 catagories on each state site. Each state site is updated with local, regional, and national information on a regular basis.

  10. Web Directory Blog Says:

We introduce different sets of sites divided in groups by some unique criterias…
